Country vs. Scammers: Dolly Parton, Trace Adkins, and Hank Williams Jr.

Online scammers are still at it.  Three different country stars just had to speak up about people impersonating them online:  Trace AdkinsHank Williams Jr., and Dolly Parton, who clarified she’s NOT hawking CBD gummies.

Trace tweeted out a video on Wednesday to tell fans that @TraceAdkins is the only handle he uses on social media. This came after a scam artist posing as the singer tried to con a fan into sending him money on Facebook.

Meanwhile, Hank Williams Jr. posted on Instagram the same day after noticing a bunch of “fake Hanks” commenting on his posts. Quote, “Don’t be fooled into accepting friend requests or replying to messages from fake Hanks.  We will never ask you for personal details or money.”

and last but not least, Dolly Parton’s team also posted on Wednesday to clarify that she’s not out there hawking CBD gummies.

“Dolly Parton is not affiliated with, has not endorsed, and is not associated with any kind of keto or CBD gummy product.  She’s more the cake, cookie, and cornbread type.”
