Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsey ‘Not Strong Enough’ To Tour Yet; Nicknames Walking Aide “Walker Hayes”

Matthew Ramsey from Old Dominion shared an update with fans following an ATV accident that left him with a fractured pelvis.  While Ramsey shared that he’s getting stronger every day, the band will have to reschedule more shows.

Ramsey also shared the hilarious nickname given to his walker, “Walker Hayes,” courtesy of his bandmate Trevor.

“Hey, what’s up, everybody. Just want to say thank you, first of all, for all the support and love that you guys are sending me. The messages are awesome. They’re helping me get stronger. I’m getting stronger every day. (I’m) about a week out from the accident, still hanging out with ‘Walker Hayes,’ as Trevor has named it. But I just want to say, unfortunately, (I’m) not strong enough to make it up onto the bus yet, so we are gonna have to push Albany, New York, and Reading, Pennsylvania, and Bangor, Maine shows. We’re gonna have to reschedule those. …We will make it up to you. I’m so sorry. I know how excited you guys get for these shows, and me, too. It’s really tough to be sidelined right now, but we’ll see you soon. I promise. (I’m) getting stronger.”
