Ella, a 4-Year-Old Lab Mix, Is Recovering From a Dog Attack and Needs a Forever Home

Ella is my Furry Friday Pet of the Week, brought to you by Line-X of Chesapeake, and in this case, it’s a Foster Friday!  Ella came to stay with us last week after undergoing surgery.

Stephanie Taylor with Ella

She was brought to Norfolk Animal Care Center after she was attacked by other dogs in her home.  She suffered an injured ear and lip and was scheduled to undergo surgery to fix her lip, as well as be spayed.  Unfortunately, vets determined the lip could not be fixed so Ella will have a little extra character to her already beautiful face.

We brought her home to recover from her spay surgery and she has been the perfect house guest.  She is very quiet (other than a little bit of whining when she wants to go out).

She is SO loving.  She will greet you with her tail wagging and an adorable tippy-tap dance.  She loves to be outside, laying in the sun, and will do anything for belly rubs.

Because of her history of dog attacks, she needs to be the only pup in the house.  She is understandably weary around other dogs.

She is about 4 years old and super smart.  We were shocked when my husband jokingly asked her to play dead and she did!

Check out some glamour shots of this pretty girl!
