Lady A’s Charles Kelly and his wife Cassie sat down with “CBS Mornings” on Wednesday, May 10th where they’re talking about Charles’ struggle with alcoholism.
10 months ago Lady A canceled their tour 10 months ago so that Charles could focus on his sobriety. The band is back on the road now and Charles sat down with Gayle King to talk about this journey.
In a clip of the interview, Charles said he feels like he’s on the “second half of his life adventure.”
“I’m living on this even keel where the little mundane things, I’m looking forward to more things like waking up in the morning, being able to take Ward to school, and sitting in bed reading with Cassie,” he shares in a clip.
“You know, putting my hand over and holding her hand, I would never have done that,” he continues. “I would have been in that bed with a glass of wine or something and watching some kind of trash TV and not really connecting at all.”
