Blake Shelton received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Friday.
His wife Gwen Stefani called him a rare human being in her speech. She told the crowd, “You are part of the country dream, the Hollywood dream, and you are part of the American dream. And everybody knows you are my dream come true. I love you.”
Gwen also said that despite all his successes, he’s still the same humble and genuine country guy. “He’s magnetic, the most generous person you’ll ever know, and always just him,” she shared.
When it was Blake’s turn to speak, he said, “I kind of stopped checking things off my list of great accomplishments in my life when I married Gwen, so this is just icing on the cake.”
Blake dedicated the star to his late brother Richie in a post on Instagram writing, “I dedicated this star to my brother Richie who I wish was here to celebrate this with. There are so many people to say thank you to for yesterday.. my family, my team, @nbc and @nbcthevoice, the fans.. it’s really special to get to share this with you all. Cheers!!!
