Walnut is a Shy Hound Mix Ready for a Loving Forever Home

Stephanie Taylor with Walnut

Meet Walnut, an adorable Shephard/Hound mix who is about a year old and currently available for adoption through the Suffolk Humane Society. This brave pup, along with his sister, was rescued from a residence in North Carolina where they were among approximately 100 dogs. Now, after experiencing some challenging circumstances, Walnut is seeking a forever home where he can find love, stability, and the care he deserves.

Walnut has been through a lot.  Since coming to Suffolk Humane Society, he was adopted into a home and adjusted well until his owner became ill.  When they could no longer take care of him, he was returned to the shelter and now he is in a new foster home.  All of the moving around has made him a bit timid but once he gets to know you, he comes out of his shell.  He just needs a little time to adjust and someone to show him love and patience.

His foster mom says he is a calm guy at home and always wants to be right next to you.  He gets along with other dogs and would be great with kids.  If you are interested in meeting Walnut, email [email protected] or call 757-538-3030.
