WATCH: Blake Shelton Says a “Bittersweet” Goodbye to The Voice

Blake Shelton said goodbye to The Voice on Tuesday, May 23rd after 23 seasons on the popular NBC show.

Ahead of his final show, the country singer took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt goodbye note.

“Can’t believe it’s been 23 seasons of @nbcthevoice… and especially can’t believe today is my final episode. It’s bittersweet. When we signed up for season 1, I don’t think any of us knew what this was going to be.. These past 12 years I have made lifelong friends and memories. I’ve had the great opportunity to coach some really talented artists, 9 who have taken home #TeamBlake wins (let’s make that 10 tonight?), and watch these artists grow so much from the show. Thank you to everyone… the crew, the coaches, the contestants, the fans, and my wife who have made these some really great years. Love y’all!!!!!!

The Voice went the extra mile to wish Blake a final farewell. Enlisting the help of the hit show’s current and previous coaches along with the past winners of Team Blake, the country star was given an often hilarious and occasionally emotional send-off, especially when wife Gwen Stefani reflected on Blake’s tenure.

Members of Team Blake returned to the show to perform for their former coach. Watch the performance below.

If Blake misses his time on The Voice, he can relive his chair-turning days. Gwen arranged to have one of the infamous turning chairs delivered to their home.
