Annaliese’s Adventures: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

I love sharing pictures of my travel adventures with you, so I wanted to share a few snaps from last week’s trip to the Dominican Republic with my dad! I’ve been to the DR twice before (most recently 8 years ago now), but I had never stayed right in Punta Cana before. This is the most popular resort area on the island!

My dad and I stayed at the Royalton Bavaro, which was a large and awesome all-inclusive resort. It is crazy how much bang for your buck you can get when staying at an all-inclusive place. The Royalton Bavaro had a beautiful beach, as well as several pools and a great lazy river, which I really enjoyed floating in! There are excursions off the resort that you can book for an additional cost, but since we were only there for a few days my dad and I opted to stay on the resort and relax the whole time. One tip I’ll give you for visiting the DR in the summer months is that it is HOT. Heat and humidity like you’ve never felt before! I wore bathing suits and cover-ups for all the daytime hours, and would wait to put on “real” clothes until dinnertime in the evenings since it was so warm out.

We both had some travel issues getting home, but it was a great trip besides for that. Thankful for being able to spend some one-on-one time with my dad! Here’s a few snaps from our trip:
