Wallet Hub just released its annual list of the best cities for Thanksgiving and Virginia Beach ranked in the top 10!

The results are calculated based on 18 metrics across five categories:  Celebrations and traditions, affordability, safety, weather, and how “thankful” each city is.  That last one is based on donations and volunteering.

According to the results, San Francisco is #1 overall (even though it is also tied for the least affordable).  Wallet Hub shares that it’s the best city for Thanksgiving, “especially for people who plan to go out for the holiday instead of staying in.”

Virginia Beach came in at #10 with high rankings for affordability and safety.  Chesapeake also made the top 50 landing at #16 overall and scoring a 6 in safety.  Norfolk holds the overall #24 spot with a score of 19 for “giving thanks.”
