Meet Milo: The Adventure-Loving, Chick-fil-A Nugget Enthusiast Ready for a Loving Home – Adoption Fee Sponsored!

Meet Milo- he’s about 2 years old and LOVES a good adventure. He’s always down to hang with his people and is a goofball.

If you’re looking for a fun adventure buddy who promises to keep you laughing, even on your gloomiest days, Milo from Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter is the perfect pick.

The way to Milo’s heart is through any type of snack, especially Chick-fil-A Nuggets. Honorable snack mentions include vanilla Wendy’s Frosties, Pup Cups from Starbucks, and Pupperoni. When enjoying a tasty treat, he prefers the company of a good friend who doesn’t mind sharing with him. He’s quite the gentleman and is eager to return the favor.

Milo is a bit strong on the leash which can be managed well with a harness. Nothing makes him happier than the prospect of a good adventure- especially one that will end in something fun or delicious out in the fresh air.

Milo enjoys car rides, walks on the beach, and sniffing anything his snout comes across. During a recent Expawdition (offsite adventure), Milo had himself a beach day and a milkshake at Huntington Park Beach. He loved the feeling of sand beneath his paws and flapping his ears in the breeze. He was a bit unsure of the waves though!

On another Expawdition, Milo made lots of new pals going for a hike! He enjoyed the company of the kids who tagged along (ages 4 and 8 years old) and did well with the other dog who joined in on the hike too!

Milo is our Pick Me Pet! This program, facilitated by a 501c3 that supports the shelter (Friends of PRAS), encourages volunteers to build relationships with selected animals to learn more about them to advocate for them and help share their story in a detailed and honest way.

As a Pick Me Pet, Milo’s adoption fee is sponsored so that his future forever family can focus even more on making sure he’s outfitted with plenty of toys, snacks, and a cozy spot to curl up in his new home.

He’s a long-term resident but nobody knows why. He’s such a good pick for someone looking for an adventure buddy.

Milo is crate-trained, house-trained, and has done well with kids and other dogs during his time in a foster home. The shelter always encourages and welcomes anyone interested in adopting to bring their resident pets and children to meet the prospective new family member!

Currently available for adoption or foster, Milo would be so grateful for a soft spot to land outside of a busy and crowded shelter. Although the hardworking staff and volunteers do everything they can to make his stay as comfortable as possible, Milo has been with PRAS since September and would be extremely appreciative for the chance to take a shot at life outside in a home of his very own (one with plenty of soft blankets and people for him to love on!).

The Foster Program is easy and free- the shelter will provide all of the necessary supplies, all you need to do is provide the love and the home! If you’re interested in meeting Milo, you can find him on the adoption floor at Peninsula Regional Animal Shelter.

If you have any questions, you can email [email protected], [email protected] (to adopt) or [email protected] (to foster).
