Jelly Roll Steps Away from the Internet Due to Weight Bullying

Bunnie XO, wife of the musician Jelly Roll, recently shared a heartfelt message on her podcast about the impact of online negativity. She revealed that Jelly Roll has stepped away from the internet due to the hurtful comments he received about his weight.

“My husband is off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his [effing] weight,” Bunnie XO expressed. “And that makes me want to cry because he is the sweetest angel baby. [He] doesn’t show it to you guys, but . . . it hurts him.”

She also addressed the notion that celebrities should be able to handle online criticism, saying, “The internet can say whatever the [eff] they want about you, and they say, ‘Well you’re a celebrity, you’re supposed to be able to handle it.’ No, the [eff] we’re not.”

Bunnie’s message is a reminder for everyone to be kinder, both online and in person. Celebrities, just like everyone else, are susceptible to mental health struggles caused by online bullying.

She concluded with a poignant question, “Do you know how many people kill themselves from being bullied a year? Enough is enough.”

Jelly Roll recently appeared on American Idol and after the show, Perry shared that she would want the country singer to replace her as a judge after she leaves the show this year.

In an interview with E! News, Perry shared, “I gotta say Jelly Roll was crazy when he came on the show,” Perry told the outlet. “He could run for president, he could be my pastor, I might go back to church for him. He could sell me anything… To have any of these guys plus Jelly on the show would be amazing.”
