This Saturday, May 24th, the community is invited to celebrate the tiniest residents of Norfolk Animal Care Center at a one-of-a-kind event: the Meower Shower! Hosted by Friends of the Norfolk Animal Care Center in partnership with NACC, this kitten-themed baby shower will take place from 12pm to 4pm at Afterglow Brewing—and it’s shaping up to be the cutest event of the season.

The Meower Shower isn’t just about cooing over adorable kittens (though there will be plenty of that). It’s an opportunity to learn more about the shelter’s foster program during one of the busiest times of year—kitten season. Attendees will have the chance to meet fellow animal lovers, learn what it takes to become a foster, and discover a variety of ways to help these vulnerable babies get the care they need.

Not quite ready to foster? No problem. Guests can still make a difference by purchasing raffle tickets, shopping with on-site vendors, and soaking in the sounds of live music—all while supporting the animals. Donations of funds or much-needed foster supplies will be accepted on-site.

Can’t make it in person? You can still lend a paw! Help spread the word by sharing the event on social media or donating through the Amazon wishlist. Every item donated helps a kitten in need get one step closer to a healthy, happy future.
