In the wake of the devastating flash floods that swept through South and Central Texas, Miranda Lambert is stepping up to help pets affected by the disaster. Through her nonprofit, MuttNation Foundation, she is partnering with Kerrville Pets Alive to deliver emergency relief to the hardest-hit communities.
Miranda shared a message with fans on Instagram saying, “Hey y’all, I just want to jump on here and say how devastated we are to hear about the floods in South and Central Texas. I can’t even come up with any words for all the loss that everybody’s suffering.”
“We will have more info as it goes, but I’ll post everything that I know to post right now,” she continued. “So y’all join with us and try to help out as much as you can, and keep sending prayers, and I’ll keep you posted.”
The organization has already raised over $11,000 of its $15,000 goal as of Monday morning. The fundraiser is hosted through Instagram, and donations can be made here.
MuttNation Foundation, co-founded by Miranda and her mother in 2009, has long been dedicated to supporting animal shelters, promoting pet adoption, and stepping in when disaster strikes. To date, the organization has raised over $11 million to advance its mission of keeping animals safe and cared for.
