Parker McCollum’s third consecutive sold-out appearance at Rodeo Houston on Friday, March 21 was one to remember. In the midst of delivering an epic performance to a record crowd of 71,216 fans, the Texas native announced the title and release date for his fifth studio album.
This announcement confirmed fans’ speculation that formed last week when McCollum wiped his Instagram and changed his profile picture to black, signaling some big news was on the way. We now know that the self-titled collection produced by Grammy award-winning, Frank Liddell, and recorded at the legendary Power Station recording studio in New York City will be released June 27 via UMG Nashville.

According to a new press release, the forthcoming songs will highlight McCollum’s expert storytelling as he reflects on the feelings tied to his carefree “wild years.” He’s also expected to touch on the challenge of trying to meet both public and personal expectations, the mistakes he made along the way and the incredible blessings that have shaped his journey up until now.
“It is the best thing I’ve ever done. This record is honest, this record is raw, this record is one thousand percent authentic, Parker, and it feels really good to get back to writing and recording songs like I always wanted to,” shared McCollum.
His raw Texas sound will come to life among the musicality of classic Country records that remain a timeless part of the genre. The singer/songwriter was able to capture his authentic sound while teaming up with songwriters such as Jon Randall, Randy Rogers, Lori McKenna, Randy Montana, Liz Rose, Natalie Hemby, Monty Criswell and more, to co-write all but two cover songs.
The lucky fans in attendance for his Rodeo Houston appearance also got first access to pre-save his upcoming album.
“Sold Out Rodeo Houston again. 72,000 of my closest friends. The energy in that building last night gave me chills. It literally makes me cry to think about 11 year old Parker and how badly he wanted to play on that stage. Only buckle I ever cared about. Thank you Houston. It was damn good to be home. Till next time… love y’all forever,” he wrote in a new Instagram post.
This project will follow the success of his latest single, “What Kinda Man,” which continues to climb the charts at country radio.
Parker McCollum has since returned to social media to share an update regarding his next project as well as his 2025 headlining tour. Just hours before spreading the word about his next project, McCollum revealed to fans that he decide to rebrand his current run, changing the name from the What Kinda Man Tour to the Parker McCollum Tour and adding new fall dates.
This change coincides with the mission of his next project mission, which is to honor his roots and the legacy he’s built while bringing the Red Dirt Country scene in his home state of Texas to the rest of the world.

The newly added dates will feature special guests Ashley Cooke, Corey Smith, Hudson Westbrook, Kameron Marlowe, Laci Kaye Booth and Vincent Mason on select dates.
