Dylan Scott just unveiled plans to release his third studio album, Easy Does It.
The 11-track project is set to arrive on May 30, just in time for summer and will dive deep into heartbreak, love, and small-town roots.
“This album is a collection of songs that I love and felt strongly about releasing,” Scott shared. “For me, the phrase ‘easy does it’ represents where I’m at in my life right now. I’ve spent so much time in the past focusing on what I was going to do next in my career, comparing myself to my peers and worrying about what others needed from me. But now, having kids and being married has allowed me to see what I have right in front of me and embrace it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still working hard. But I am more comfortable with myself and my career than ever before, which has made life so much easier.”

To celebrate the announcement, the multi-platinum star released the brand new track, “I Hate Whiskey,” offering fans another taste of what’s to come on the collection. This just-released track was written by Taylor Phillips, Michael Ray, Jon Kraft and Jaxson Free and finds Scott detailing the lingering emotions he feels following a breakup. He admits that the feeling of heartbreak is amplified when he drinks whiskey so he turns to other types of alcohol instead.
“I hate whiskey/ It just keeps me up and thinking ’bout us/ That’s all it does/ It doesn’t burn your memory, it just lights it up/ Yeah, I hate whiskey/ ‘Cause it only gets me drunk on you, on us/ I hate whiskey,” he sings on the chorus.

The news of Dylan Scott’s new album was announced just as his latest single, “This Town’s Been Good To Us,” hit No.1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. This marks his sixth career chart-topper and follows “Boys Back Home,” his No.1 collaboration with Dylan Marlowe.
Dylan Scott is about to kick off his Country Till I Die Tour, which will take him to some of the largest headlining venues of his career to date. Kicking off on April 3 in Boston, the tour will hit 17 cities nationwide, including major markets like New York City, with a special stop in Ontario for two shows. Joining Dylan Scott on select dates will be special guests George Birge, Dasha, and Graham Barham.
