Darius Rucker returned to the Ryman Auditorium for his 16th Annual Darius and Friends benefit concert in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital—and this year’s event did not disappoint.
The show brought out some of Darius’ famous friends, including Luke Bryan, Tyler Braden, and Kashus Culpepper, with a surprise performance by Morgan Wallen, who took the stage to perform “20 Cigarettes” from his new album, I’m the Problem.
Held alongside a charity golf tournament the day before, the two-day event raised a staggering $815,000 to support St. Jude’s mission of providing life-saving care and research—all without ever sending a bill to families.
“When we visited St. Jude’s campus in 2008, I pledged to help—and here we are,” Rucker reflected. “The work they’re doing—the research, the breakthroughs—it’s incredible. And I’ll say this over and over; what gets me every time is knowing that families never get a bill. Not for treatment, travel, housing or food. That kind of support changes everything for families going through extraordinary circumstances, and I’m proud that my friends and I can be a small part of that relief.”
Here’s to 16 years of generosity, and many more to come.
