Meet Queenie, Norfolk SPCA’s Longest Resident—Waiting Over a Year for a Loving Home

Furry Friday brought to you by Pitbull Tobacco & More and Lucky One Lemonade

They don’t call her Queenie for nothing—this regal pup has been holding court at Norfolk SPCA for over a year, patiently waiting for her happily ever after. 👑🐾

I had the chance to spend some time with Queenie this week, and she’s truly one-of-a-kind. At 4 years old, Queenie is a calm laid-back girl. Her ideal day? Lounging on the staff break room couch, catching up on TV shows, and getting in a few gentle belly rubs from her favorite humans.

Queenie walks beautifully on a leash, enjoys the company of children, and absolutely thrives in a quiet home environment. She’s not one for chaos or loud crowds—she’d much rather cozy up in a calm space where she can be your one and only. That’s right—Queenie prefers to rule her home solo, so she’s looking for a family without other dogs.

If you’re in the market for a chill companion who will be your best friend, movie-night sidekick, and loyal confidant, Queenie might just be your perfect match.
