Billy Ray Cyrus pens a prideful message to his daughters, Miley and Noah Cyrus, as they embark on new chapters of their respective musical journeys.
In a touching post, Cyrus highlights each of their upcoming projects with side-by-side snapshots, accompanied by a heartfelt letter overflowing with pride for their artistry and the growth he has seen them achieve throughout their careers.
“Holy s**t. I seldom ever swear in my post but this deserves one,” he began. “You are witnessing in real time what it feels like for a Dad who with in less than one weeks time has had his ass kicked and his mind blown by not one …but two of his own daughters @mileycyrus@noahcyrus.”
Last week, Noah was the first to announce that her new musical era will launch with an upcoming record, which she previewed with the unveiling of her single “Don’t Put It All On Me” featuring Fleet Foxes. The new release was accompanied by a haunting music video.
Shortly after Noah’s announcement, her older sister, Miley Cyrus, unveiled the official trailer for her highly anticipated ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, set to drop on May 30, 2025, via Columbia Records. Executive produced by Miley and Shawn Everett, the album will feature 13 original tracks. The “Flowers” singer raised anticipation for the project with an official “Something Beautiful” trailer that describes the collection as a “one of a kind pop opera” and reveals that an accompanying visual film will follow in June.
Seeing both of his daughters take on such masterful projects, Billy Ray Cyrus couldn’t hold back his emotions, nor miss out on the opportunity to celebrate them. He went on to further praised their creativity and shared just how proud he is of both of them.
“Flesh and blood … completely taking their art to a whole new level . Congratulations girls ! Well done. I’m so damn proud of both of you. I’m actually crying as I write this. Thank God you can’t see me. Have fun now and be happy ! 😊 Love Dad,” he wrote in conclusion.
Both Noah and Miley have yet to comment on their dad’s warm words.
Over the years, the Cyrus family has seen no shortage of drama and has often found themselves at the center of widespread rumors. Most recently, the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer’s son, Trace Cyrus called out the fact that he and the rest of the family have been worried about their father “for years.” This concerned post came as a result of Billy Ray’s his performance at the Liberty Ball as part of President Donald Trump’s inauguration festivities.
He also added that Billy Ray has grown apart from his daughters, which aligns with the ongoing rumors of a rift between him and Miley, in particular, after she left him out of her Record of the Year acceptance speech at the 2024 Grammys.
Last June, Miley also opened up about her relationship with her father during an appearance on David Letterman’s Netflix series, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction. She reflected on both the positive and negative lessons and traits she has learned from him over the years.
“He has a relationship and a foot on the ground to the real and to nature and he always did, even when he was super famous,” Miley, 31, said of her dad, who rose to stardom in country music with his hit “Achy Breaky Heart” in 1992. “I’m grateful for being able to watch him ahead of me. He’s almost given me this map. And there’s a map of what to do and what not to do, and he’s guided me on both.”
“I also inherited the narcissism from my father,” she added.

Trace also mentioned that their father “has not been there” for his youngest daughter Noah, however another recent post from Billy Ray indicates otherwise. The post featured a set of cordial text messages between the two of them as he celebrated the fact that they both released records on the same day.
He wrote, “Congratulations Noie @noahcyrus!!! I love your sign in NYC ! It is crazy our records were released on the same day. They … tell me we made history again in music today as a father and daughter release on the same day kinda thing. I like doing things that hasn’t been done before. That’s the challenge ya see ? Carl Perkins taught me that. He bended a few genres himself. How bout them blue suede shoes ! 👞💔”
Noah commented, “thanks fath!!! i love you so much. you’re my inspiration ❤️ i’m so proud of us!!!”
Since his public divorce with ex-wife, FIREROSE, Billy Ray Cyrus seems to be focusing on his family and his music career. Most recently, he unveiled a new collaboration with Benny Burgess titled “Ask.” He currently has no tour dates on the books.
