Carly Pearce’s recent concert at the O2 Academy Birmingham hit a brief pause when a few fans in the crowd got a bit rowdy, prompting the “Truck On Fire” singer to address them directly.
During one of the biggest, sold-out headlining shows of her career, Pearce took matters into her own hands and politely asked the lively group of women to calm down.
“We’re all here to just have a good night. You know what I mean? We’re all friends at my shows,” she said from the stage. “And girl, I am sick, and I ain’t got time for it, okay?”

The room came to a dead silence as the Kentucky native spoke.
“So just please. I love you, I’m just saying please don’t make everybody around you angry, okay?,” she added.
Moments later, the crowd began to chant, “Carly, Carly, Carly,” praising the singer for doing the right thing and calling out the disruptive concertgoer.
A fan-captured TikTok video shows security escorting the disruptive individual—or individuals—out of the concert. As they’re being removed, Pearce is seen waving goodbye from the stage and quipping, “Ain’t nobody got time for that.”
As previously reported, Carly Pearce is wrapping up a month of shows in Europe on her headlining hummingbird world tour. Amid the run, the GRAMMY winner fell ill, coming down with a bad case of the flu.
Despite not feeling her best, Pearce promised to deliver the best concert possible for her fans, with several shows still on the books. For the Birmingham concert, she shared that her plan was to put on a stripped-down show to ensure the performance would be the best it could be.
“I don’t feel like I’m giving you the best if we play a big full band set because I’m fighting,” she admitted at the beginning of the show. “However, what we’re about to do, I got with the band and my crew earlier, like five minutes before the show. I was like, I don’t know if I can do this. We’re going to do a little bit more stripped down of all the songs.”
Earlier that day, Pearce shared the following message with fans: “With the help of my doctor & team, we WILL finish out this tour strong and I will give you EVERYTHING I have. Manchester, Belfast, Glasgow & Dublin- if the shows look a little different, know that I promise to show up each night giving you my all,” she wrote.
Pearce fulfilled her promise to fans and is continuing on with her tour. According to her website, she has three shows across the pond remaining. She will be able to enjoy a well-deserved break when she returns to the states as her next concert isn’t until March 19 when she joins the Grand Ole Opry 100 celebration.
This Opry performance will take place just days after the release of hummingbird: no rain, no flowers, a deluxe version of her critically acclaimed fourth studio album. Out on March 14, this new release will include five brand-new tracks, including the just-released “no rain.”
