Burgeoning country artist Chandler Walters has dropped his debut single, “Worth The Trouble.” Released on April 30 via DeVille Records, founded by ERNEST in partnership with Big Loud Records, the track will be included on the upcoming inaugural collaborative project Cadillac Sessions, available on Wednesday (May 7).
“Worth The Trouble” was recorded at Castle Studios in Franklin, Tenn., and is co-written by Walters with Rhys Rutherford. Offering listeners honky tonk vibes with its traditional-leaning melody, the tune likens the sounds of the Texas two-step and western swing. Dancing fiddles and pedal steel guitar intertwine with the lyrics as Walters sings about being in a romance that has run its course. He flexes his clever songwriting muscle, comparing the doomed relationship to a pickup truck that’s no longer reliable as it requires extensive repairs due to damage over time.
“’Cause we had our thing, and we had our fun / Ran all the miles that we could run / But there’s way more problems than I care to fix,” Walters croons the chorus. “Between breaking down and acting up / This piece of work is just too much / And I’m thinking that it’s time to trade her in / ‘Cause I’m saying all the same things that I said about that Ford / Yeah, she ain’t worth the trouble anymore.”
“Worth The Trouble” is the latest track to arrive ahead of the highly-awaited mixtape-style compilation album Cadillac Sessions, which features two new originals and one cover from ERNEST, Walters, and labelmates Rutherford and Lohden.

Other early previews ahead of the project’s release include ERNEST’s “Gettin’ Gone” featuring Snoop Dogg, Rutherford’s “Southern Belle,” and Lohden’s “Tail Light, Porch Light, Miller Lite.” Folks can expect additional superstar guests, Miranda Lambert and Jake Worthington, to be featured on Cadillac Sessions.
“Making music alongside my brothers ERN, Rhys and Cody was special from the start,” Walters shared via a press release. “We want to write the best country music in the world, make ya sad and happy. Couldn’t be happier that my first song ‘Worth The Trouble’ is out now.”

Walters, a multi-talented singer/songwriter and seasoned musician, who is known for playing pedal steel guitar, has already solidified his place in country music with a string of songwriting credits to his name for artists ranging from ERNEST to Bailey Zimmerman to Charles Wesley Godwin to Post Malone. He has scored No. 1 hits, including Posty’s five-time platinum hit collaboration “I Had Some Help” featuring Morgan Wallen. Walters’ musical prowess has collected him a few well-earned nominations for both an ACM and a Grammy Award in the category for Country Song of the Year for the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 smash “I Had Some Help.”
Already a fixture in Malone’s band as a touring steel guitar player, Walters has signed on to join Malone as a special guest on his The Big Ass Stadium Tour. Throughout the trek, he will serve as both a member of Malone’s band and as an opener, showcasing his skills onstage as a performing solo artist. Jelly Roll is also featured as a special guest on The Big Ass Stadium Tour, along with Sierra Ferrell and Wyatt Flores appearing on select dates. Walters is also serving as host of official after-parties dubbed Walters Western Road Show in select cities.
Post Malone Presents: The Big Ass Stadium Tour, produced by Live Nation, and sponsored by T-Mobile, kicked off on April 29 in Salt Lake City. The trek will make stops at 26 stadiums across the United States and Canada before concluding on July 1 at Oracle Park in San Francisco, Calif.
“It’s a big year for me, Stadium Tours, my music coming out and one more year backing up the big man. 10-year-old me is screaming inside and so is 22-year-old me,” Walters captured in a post on Instagram. “We’ve come a long way from Marietta, Georgia. See you guys out there on the BIG ASS STADIUM TOUR!!!!!!”
