Country Icon Hank Williams Jr. Drops It Low On Stage At 75

Hank Williams Jr. showed off his signature dance moves at a recent concert, and fans on TikTok can’t get enough.

The 75-year-old country music icon was performing his song “Weatherman” from his 1981 album The Pressure Is On when he dropped down into a squat position, bounced up and down and then returned to standing – all without missing a beat.

A TikTok user caught the moment on camera and posted it with the caption, “Why is Hank out here dropping it low at 76 [he’s 75],” adding, “CAUSE HE CAN.”

The video raked in nearly 500 comments with users praising Bocephus’ ability to work the stage like that at his age.

“The fact that he can do this is a HUGE flex at his age. Hip mobility and back strength go quick as we age. This shows incredible muscle strength and great health actually,” one user pointed out.

Another declared, “he got better knees than me!!”

Someone else laughed, “Meanwhile I squatted down to put my toddlers shoes on today and when my knees popped he told me I had an ouchie.”

Hank Jr. isn’t showing any signs of slowing down soon. He recently added several new tour dates to his schedule for 2025, which already included several festival dates. (See a list of upcoming dates below).

In 2022, Hank Williams Jr. pushed the limits of rock and country with the genre-blending, chart-topping release of Rich White Honky Blues. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Current Country, Americana/Folk, and Blues Albums charts, marking a successful collaboration with GRAMMY-winning producer Dan Auerbach. This 12-track live recording reimagined blues classics from Robert Johnson, Lightnin’ Hopkins, R.L. Burnside, Muddy Waters, and others, all while infusing Hank’s signature rock and country style.

It’s unclear whether a new album is on the horizon for him.
