Eagle-Eyed Fans Spot Miranda Lambert’s New Tattoo

Miranda Lambert just quietly added a little more western flair to her look with a new tattoo. In a new Instagram post, the country star is seen posing for her lifestyle brand, Idyllwind, but some sharp-eyed fans were quick to notice that she was showing off more than the new “premium stretch denim.”

She was photographed crouching down on a black-and-white tiled floor wearing an all-denim ensemble. Her curly blonde hair flowed over her shoulders as Lambert modeled the “Texas Hold ‘Em Jeans.”

While most users flaunted over how incredible the denim looked on the hitmaker, a few honed in on the small, fine-line horseshoe ink placed right in between her “tumbleweed” script tattoo on the forearm and the arrow on her hand.

“Obsessed with the new tattoo”

“The denim, hair, and turquoise jewelry distracted me from the tattoo😍 but I do love it! 👏🐎”

“okay so can we all just get matching tattoos (and jeans) at this point?!”

“is that a new horseshoe tattoo for the newest mounted shooting queen 😍”

Looking closely, the delicate piece of body art features two diamonds and a heart in the center. While Lambert didn’t formally announce the new ink, her tattoo artist Christina Nguyen quietly shared a close-up look at the design back in March and noted that it’s a tribute to Lambert’s love for horses.

“Tiny lil horseshoe for @mirandalambert to represent her cutie horses,” Christina wrote in the caption.

A Look Through Lambert’s Collection Of Tattoos

This is not Miranda Lambert’s first tattoo, in fact she has grown quite the collection over the years, with each piece reflecting meaningful moments in her life.

For example, while performing in Nashville in 2016, Lambert revealed that a few of her tattoos were symbols of the rough year she’d endured in 2015.

“So this song, I don’t know if I can do it without crying,” she told the crowd. “[Guitarist] Scotty Wray has been with me since I was 17. For a long time he was my band. We have been through everything together, good and bad. We both went through a really s—–2015 and we have the tattoos to prove it. He wrote a song a long time ago called ‘Scars.’ I never felt like I could sing it ’til now.”

Guns And Wings

One of her first tattoos that came from that time was designed by her longtime friend Amie Sikes. US Weekly shares that Lambert recalled Sikes describing her as “an angel and a little pistol” and that inspired her to get the guns and wings tattoo on her arm. This art also celebrated her first gold record.

An Arrow

Another was the arrow on her hand pictured in her latest post that was a matching tattoo with Wray.

“I got [this] with my guitar player, Scotty Wray,” Lambert told Us Weekly. “We lost him two Februarys ago. He was with me since I was 17. He survived cancer, and I survived divorce. And so we got arrows pushing forward together. I’m so happy that we share that.”

“Wild Card”

Her largest and most colorful piece is the “Wild Card” tattoo that sits on the top of her arm and features a queen of hearts playing card.

“I went through some [tough] things, especially 2015 was a really hard year of being in this industry and being a woman,” she recalled. “I was like, ‘I’m going to figure it out. I’ve got a wild card up my sleeve. I can do this.’ And so I got the wild card up my sleeve, and it’s a queen of hearts [tattoo]. She’s looking both ways to make sure that I don’t get run over.”

Paw Print Heart

Even Lambert’s older tattoos hold weight, like the paw print heart she got on her foot in 2010 to celebrate MuttNation raising its first $500,000. Looking back now, she admits with a laugh, “Foot tattoos don’t look that good, so it’s not that cute anymore.”

Miranda Lambert is currently gearing up to hit the red carpet of the 2025 ACM Awards in her home state of Texas. The latest announcement from the Academy of Country Music, Prime Video and Dick Clark Productions reveals that Lambert is among the star-studded talent that has been tapped to take the stage of the Ford Center at The Star on May 8.

The show will be hosted by Reba McEntire and will be available to stream live via Prime Video.
