Larry Fleet Honors The Woman Who Keeps Him Grounded In New Single, ‘A Lotta Women’

Life as a touring artist isn’t easy on relationships, and according to Larry Fleet, it takes a certain kind of woman to accept the constant travel and time away from home. Luckily, he has found that love and partnership in his own wife Phebe, who he honors in his new single, “A Lotta Women.”

Penned by Fleet, James McNair and Jake Mitchell, the recent release finds the Tennessee native shining a spotlight on the person who has stuck by his side through all the late nights and long travel days that it’s taken to build his career to this point.

“There’s not a lot of women to put up with this kind of life, and especially everything that entails being gone all the time and traveling and just the life,” Fleet admits. “So I got me one of those women that have stuck around through it all and honestly allowed it all to happen and gave me that opportunity to really pursue this crazy life and dream. So it means a lot to me on that side of things.”

He expresses his gratitude through his smoky vocals that flow throughout the mid-tempo melody. Fleet’s heart and authenticity anchors the emotional weight of the storyline as he acknowledges the fact that most women would “leave me alone” if the money stopped flowing and his career came to a halt. Instead, he’s safe in the arms of his other half, claiming she’s “Stronger than a hickory/ Standing tall through all my storms.”

“A lot of women would’ve/ Washed their hands of a man like me/ Change the locks, pawn the rock/ I’d be forgotten but not forgiven/ Bloodshot eyes/ Tearing out the drive/ Tail lights, tires spinning/ A lot of women ain’t strong enough stay/ But baby you ain’t/A lot of women,” he delivers on the dreamy chorus.

This song highlights Larry Fleet’s powerful storytelling while revealing a new side of his artistry. It blends his signature soulful style with a tougher Southern rock edge, driven by compelling rhythms and a raw energy that makes the track stand out.

“It’s a little more rock and I dunno, it’s got a cool vibe to it and felt like the right time to put it out,” he added. “So super excited to get this one out to the world and even more excited to play it at my shows and hopefully everybody digs it and goes right there and sings all the words to it.”

“A Lotta Women” follows Fleet’s “Hard Work & Holy Water,” both of which preview an exciting year of new music that he has in store for fans. He expressed genuine excitement to share what he’s been working on with Trent Willman and revealed his goal to release an entire album by the fall.

“It’s a big year, and this is just another piece of that puzzle to making a big year for us.”

The authentic tune of “Hard Work & Holy Water,” inspired the name of Fleet’s 2025 headlining Tour that finds the country singer traveling throughout the United States with sold-out shows featuring Everette on select dates. He is also set to bring the trek to Europe in August.
