Megan Moroney lit up Nashville in royal blue on Wednesday night as she brought her Am I Okay? Tour to Music City’s newest venue, The Pinnacle, kicking off the first of two sold-out shows.

The night felt like the ultimate girls’ night out — a dazzling, high-energy celebration that showcased her evolution as both an artist and an entertainer. 

Taking the stage at 9pm, the current ACM Female Artist of the Year nominee declared “Houston, there’s a problem” as a giant full moon was displayed on the screens behind her. The crowd absolutely erupted at the sight of the 27 year old and screamed out the lyrics to “Man on the Moon,” setting the tone for the night ahead.  

“Nashville, Tennessee, my name is Megan Moroney. Thank you for being here,” she said with a smile, greeting nearly 5,000 fans packed inside the venue — some of whom had lined up as early as 9 a.m. to claim a spot in line. 

While she offered an introduction, it was clear none was needed. The crowd was there for her, singing every word to every song, proving just how deeply connected they are to the rising star and her music.

The set list pulled from every chapter of Megan Moroney’s journey thus far — from her breakout debut LUCKY to her latest release AM I OKAY?, with nods to earlier fan favorites like 2022’s Pistol Made of Roses and her 2021 single, “Wonder.” No matter the era, the crowd was locked in, belting out every lyric like it was written just for them. To them, these aren’t just songs — they’re the soundtrack of their lives, capturing heartbreak, messy mistakes, battles with self-doubt, and the sweet redemption that follows.

Every aspect of the show was meticulously thought out—from the set design and visuals on the screens to Moroney’s bedazzled mic stands and mics and her colorful guitars. Each song had its own moment, making it clear that every detail had been thoughtfully planned and nothing was left to chance. 

After spending last summer touring stadiums with one of the greatest country entertainers of all time, Kenny Chesney, it appears Moroney picked up a few tips and gained some confidence along the way. Her stage presence has come so far in such a short period of time, and that was put on full display on Wednesday night in Nashville.   

Witnessing her show, it’s impossible not to draw comparisons to Taylor Swift. Not since Swift’s early country days have we seen an artist rise to the top this quickly and connect so deeply. Megan Moroney is carving her own path to that same superstar status — and she’s clearly found her place in the genre. 

The unwavering fan support and the rapid trajectory of her career is not lost on Moroney. Before the show came to a close, she took a moment to express her immense gratitude and disbelief over where she is at.   

“I just want to say thank you again for literally everything,” she began. “The way that y’all have supported me over the past five years. I moved to Nashville five years ago in June, and y’all have just completely changed my life….I thought I was going to be an accountant. I mean, I moved to Nashville with hopes that this would work out, but I literally had no idea, and if I had to stop doing this tomorrow, y’all have like made my entire life already. I’m not going to stop tomorrow. But what I’m saying is that I already feel so fulfilled and just happy that I get to do music with my life, and it’s because of every single person in this room. So thank you so, so much for making all of my wildest dreams come true.”  

In addition to giving shoutouts to her fans, her team, and industry partners, she reflected on playing Nashville’s Exit/In just two years ago and dreamed about what’s to come.   

“Now, it’s just like the same exact vibe, but it’s bigger and hopefully the next time I play in Nashville, I’ll get to play Bridgestone [Arena]. I’m just putting that into the air, hopefully that happens, but I don’t know. I’m just so, so grateful,” she shared. 

The show came to a close with a massive “Tennessee Orange” singalong and an “Am I Okay?” dance party, complete with blue and white confetti. 

Nashville native Chase Matthew kicked off the night, firing up the crowd with hits like “Love You Again,” “Darlin’,” and the fan-favorite “County Line.” He mixed in covers of Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line while commanding every corner of the stage. Fresh off a sold-out show at the Ryman, Matthew is proving he knows how to bring the energy and build a loyal fan base along the way.
