Randy Travis Stuns Fans With Hilarious Wax Figure Prank At Madame Tussauds Nashville

Randy Travis pulled off the ultimate prank! A video was recently shared to the country legend’s official TikTok account, capturing the day he pretended to be his wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Nashville.

His wife, Mary, got in on the fun too, helping him move from his wheelchair to the chair where his realistic looking wax figure is usually situated. Dressed in the same signature outfit and holding his guitar, he nailed the pose perfectly and had visitors convinced they were posing with the Wax figure.

While snapping a photo, the unsuspecting fans’ smiles quickly turned to confusion and shock as the singer suddenly started moving. At one point a set of visitors began singing his signature hit, “Forever And Ever, Amen,” and Travis decided to surprise them by mustering up a raspy “Amen” as the camera flashed.

The heartwarming prank left a slew of fans with an unforgettable memory and proved that even after all these years, Randy Travis still knows how to steal the show.

Those who weren’t lucky enough to be inside the museum for this special surprise took to the comment section to share how they would have reacted if they had been in the presence of the real Randy Travis.

“I would fall to the floor! I love Randy!! ❤️❤️”

“Hearing him sing just that one word, gives me goosebumps! 🥰🥰🥰”

“I’m crying”

“Oh id faint 😭”

“This would make my life”

The Country Music Hall of Famer’s wax figure was unveiled back in December of 2017 as the 50th figure and remains a part of the attraction’s collection of celebrity wax figures.

In order to truly capture Travis’ image, he underwent a “sitting” with Madame Tussauds studio artists in Nashville, during which the research team took more than 300 measurements. To top it all off, Travis donated personal items of clothing to capture his late 1990s style with a suede embroidered jacket, jeans and a 1991 Gibson J-185 guitar.

“I have been excitedly waiting to see the figure in person,” Travis shared at the time. “The Madame Tussauds team did a fantastic job capturing my likeness and I can’t wait for my fans to stop by the attraction to see it for themselves.”

Capturing his image with the wax figure allows the country star’s influential music and 40 years of dedication to country music to be immortalized at Madame Tussauds Nashville.

Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Darius Rucker are just a few of the other country stars who have also honored as wax figures at Madame Tussauds Nashville.

Clay Walker To Star In Upcoming Randy Travis Biopic

Randy Travis’ team and family continue to find new ways to honor his incredible impact on the genre. Most recently, he appeared at the Grand Ole Opry to announce that a biopic about his life, titled Forever And Ever, Amen, is officially on the way.

Clay Walker was also present to help share this epic news as he has been cast to portray Randy Travis in the film. Walker will take on the role of Travis in his 40s and 50s while also serving as an Executive Producer.

During a press conference backstage, Walker revealed that it was his idea to create this film to celebrate Randy Travis’ career in a brand-new way.

“No one has ever done as much for country music or been as important to country music as Randy Travis,” he said.

Forever And Ever, Amen will tell the story of Travis’ life in three distinct chapters, with different actors portraying him as a child (ages 9–12), a young adult (ages 20–30), and in his later years.

According to Mary Travis, who will serve as an executive producer alongside Clay Walker and her husband, the film will depict all stages of Travis’ life, even the difficult chapters.

The film is set to be released “sometime in 2026.”
