Megan Moroney brought her emo cowgirl sound to NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series, delivering a four-song set of fan-favorites in the intimate setting.
Recorded live at NPR Music headquarters, Moroney’s Tiny Desk Concert includes performances of the platinum-certified “I’m Not Pretty, the beloved “No Caller ID,” her breakout No.1 hit “Tennessee Orange,” and her latest chart-climbing smash, “Am I Okay?.”
Sporting a sparking royal blue mini dres adorned with rhinestones, Moroney also took time to share a few stories about the songs throughout her performance.
“So the next song we’ve got for y’all was the first song I released off my sophomore album. It’s called ‘No Caller ID’ and it’s a song about an ex that wouldn’t quit calling because I wouldn’t quit answering, which is wonderful,” she said with a bit of an eye roll. “I don’t know if you have an ex like mine, but surely you get no caller ID calls from the people that want to extend your car’s warranty so my hope today is that you would leave here and always think of me when you get a no caller ID call.”

This performance put her knack for storytelling at the forefront, allowing fans to connect even deeper with the raw emotions behind her lyrics. It also offered a taste of her signature sass and vulnerability, proving once again why she’s one country music’s most exciting new stars.
This NPR performance debuted just after Moroney returned to the stage at the Extra Innings Festival in Tempe, Arizona and weeks before she’s set to embark on her AM I OKAY? Tour. This massive North American headline tour kicks off on March 20 in Montreal, featuring stops at legendary venues like New York City’s Radio City Music Hall (March 26 and 27), Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, and the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.
Following the first week of shows, Moroney will travel to Los Angeles on March 29 to accept the Rulebreaker Award and perform at the 2025 Billboard Women in Music event—adding to her growing list of accolades, including her recent New Artist of the Year win at the 2024 CMA Awards.
