Carly Pearce surprised attendees of the 2025 iHeart Country Summit in Nashville when she joined Riley Green on stage to sing an acoustic rendition of his song, “Don’t Mind If I Do.”
Sitting in front of the audience of radio professionals and other members of the industry at the private event, Green performed several of his current fan-favorites like “Worst Way” and the title of his latest project, “Don’t Mind If I Do.” Since the tune was originally recorded as a duet with Ella Langley, Green opted to bring a female songstress out to help him deliver the story properly. Langley wasn’t able to be present, but Carly Pearce was ready to graciously step in.
Riley Green, donning his signature look of boots, blue jeans, a button down and a cowboy hat, took the lead, strumming his guitar while putting his gritty vocals on full display. He effortlessly delivered the first few lines of the heartbreaking ballad on his own before Pearce joined in with her own powerful sound that blended seamlessly with her duet partners.

He encouraged the crowd to show his guest some love before she delivered Langley’s part. A set of powerful emotions filled the room as the pair of country stars depicted the story of a couple struggling to move on.
“And I don’t mind if I do/ Drink up the nerve and show up at your house/ If you wanna know the truth, it’s killin’ me not holdin’ you right now/ I’m one memory away from fallin’ all the way apart/ ‘Cause I might still love you/ And I hope you don’t mind if I do,” they sing on the stirring chorus.
After delivering their final notes, the two singers shared a hug and then Pearce exited the stage, allowing the “Change My Mind” singer to finish out his set.
Fans React Online
Fans who got to see a portion of the performance through videos captured and shared across social media, were quick to point out how good Pearce and Green sounded together.
“i never knew i need this but i’m on the floor about it,” wrote one user while another suggested, “These two should do a duet.”

“Don’t Mind If I Do” serves as the title track to Riley Green’s third studio album, which arrived on his birthday, October 18. Throughout these 18 songs, listeners are faced with stories inspired by his small-town upbringing in rural Alabama as well as moments from his real-life.
The project also features fan-favorites like “Jesus Saves,” “Worst Way,” “Change My Mind,” “Rather Be,” and more.
This performance found Riley Green taking a break from the road, where he is currently traveling from city to city on his headlining Damn Country Music Tour.
He recently wrapped up his dates across Canada and is scheduled to return to the U.S. on May 1 with a show in Athens, GA. The trek will run through August with Ella Langley as support, along with special guests Vincent Mason, Mike Ryan, Lauren Watkins, Jake Worthington, Drake White and more.
