WAS ARIANA GRANDE AND PETE DAVIDSON’S ENGAGEMENT A SHAM? Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson never took any formal steps toward an actual wedding, TMZ reports, questioning whether they ever truly intended to get married. The website notes that they never looked at dresses, venues or dates. How quickly would you tackle logistics after getting engaged?

Actress Selma Blair revealed on Saturday that she has multiple sclerosis. In an Instagram post, the 46-year-old actress wrote that she received the diagnosis in August. She said, “I am disabled. I drop things. My memory is foggy. And my left side is asking for directions from a broken GPS.” Blair, who’s shooting a new Netflix show, insists she’s “OK,” despite having problems dressing, walking and playing with her son. She thanked the cast and crew as well as friends and family for supporting her, writing “we are doing it … I don’t know exactly what I will do precisely but I will do my best.”

Matthew Broderick is joining “The Conners.”  The actor, 56, is set to make a guest appearance on the “Roseanne” spin-off for an upcoming episode, Broderick’s rep confirmed to USA TODAY on Saturday. Broderick will play Peter, an on-screen love interest for Laurie Metcalf’s character, Jackie, on the show’s Halloween episode airing October 30th.

Loretta Lynn is “resting up at home” after a brief hospital stay. The 86-year-old country icon has suffered some medical setbacks over the past several months including a stroke and a broken hip. She was honored last week by CMT as “Artist of a Lifetime” but was unable to attend the show. She said in a statement, released by a spokesperson, “I was so disappointed to have missed it because I was sick. After a brief hospital visit, I’m feeling better now and enjoying a weekend of resting up at  home… Love y’all, Loretta.”

Netflix has canceled the Marvel superhero series Iron Fist and Luke Cage.

BRUCE DERN RELEASED FROM HOSPITAL AFTER FALL: The Academy Award-nominated Bruce Dern has been released from the hospital after a fall during a daily job in L.A. The 82-year-old’s rep said he was in good spirits. Dern recently finished filming Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. He is also currently filming Showtime’s upcoming Black Monday.

Halloween scared up the second largest October opening weekend of all-time. The horror reboot earned $77.5 million between Friday and Sunday, finishing $3 million away from the record set by Venom earlier this month. A Star Is Born remained in second with $19.3 million. The musical drama has earned $126.4 million in three weeks. After two weekends at number-one, Venom dropped to third with $18.1 million.
