Last night CMT honored the Artists of the Year including

Luke Combs:

After accepting his award, This is Us star Chrissy Metz sang Luke’s hit “Even Though I’m Leaving”

Dan + Shay were on hand to accept their honor and perform their hit “Tequila”

Thomas Rhett’s wife presented him with his award and Thomas stopped his speech to pray for Kane Brown and his drummer.

Thomas shared his appreciation for his wife with his powerful performance of “Dream You Never Had”

and she showed her baby bump on the red carpet

Carrie Underwood accepted her honor with grace thanking her fans for their support.

and brought drama to the stage with her performances of “Two Black Cadillacs” and “Blown Away.”

Kane Brown dedicated his award to his drummer

and Chris Young sang in honor of his friend

Ashley McBryde was named Breakout Artist of the Year

and sang her new hit “One Night Standards”

Reba McEntire received the Lifetime Award

To honor Reba, Sam Hunt took the stage to perform some one of her biggest hits

along with Lady Antebellum
