Josh Turner’s New Album Will Feature Randy Travis, Maddie & Tae, Chris Janson, and More!

Josh Turner revealed details about his new album of all cover songs. “Country State of Mind” will be out August 21st and it features an amazing cast of guest performers including RANDY TRAVIS.  Yes, Randy Travis.

It was Randy Travis’ first recording session since his stroke back in 2013, and they did a duet of his classic “Forever and Ever, Amen”.  Josh says, quote, “Randy has always been my hero.  He was the reason I wanted to become a country singer.”

The album includes a duet with KRIS KRISTOFFERSON on Kris’ 1973 hit “Why Me,” a collaboration with MADDIE & TAE on George Strait’s 2004 song “Desperately” and a duet with JOHN ANDERSON on his 1993 hit “I’ve Got It Made”.

The title track, Country State of Mind” was a hit for Hank Williams Jr. in 1986.  Josh brought in CHRIS JANSON for a new version of that.
