Kelsea Ballerini Opens Up About Struggling With Body Image During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Kelsea Ballerini got real on Instagram to talk about body positivity and being kind to yourself if you’ve been finding comfort in food during the pandemic.

let’s talk about body image in 2020 because i don’t know about you but WOW I have been pretty hard on myself. between the stress of the unknown, the heaviness of reality, and being home not knowing what to do with all this time off tour…my body and weight have gone back and forth a lot these last few months. I’m finally getting to a place where I feel a bit of balance again, getting back into my workout routines, not only cooking comfort meals (but wow was the pasta streak fun while it lasted), and subbing out (some**) of the wine I was drowning how I was feeling in for my new obsession topochico with lime (try it y’all). I’m sharing this, not because I’m feeling 100%, but because I’m remembering the things I’m control of- my health and the way I feel being one of those things. if you’ve been silently insecure about the way your body has handled this year, you’re not alone and I’m sending you a big hug. have the best weekend, and know you’re beautiful just as you are. 🤍 (no I don’t make my bed just don’t even say it 😂)

This isn’t the first time Kelsea addressed body positivity.   In 2018 she responded to a troll who told her to ‘lose some weight’ after the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: ‘I’m not a model, I’m a singer’
