Blake Shelton Announces He’s Leaving The Voice After 23 Seasons: ‘This Show Has Changed My Life’

After 12 years on the show, Blake Shelton is leaving The Voice.

Blake has been on the show since the first season and has been the only coach to remain in the chair the whole time.

Next season will be Blake Shelton’s last on the show and he will be joined by two new coaches, Chance the Rapper and former One Direction member Niall Horan.

Kelly Clarkson will round out the coach lineup in the new season, set to debut next spring.

“I’ve been wrestling with this for a while and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from ‘The Voice,’” Blake shared in a statement. “This show has changed my life in every way for the better and it will always feel like home to me.”

Blake has garnered the most wins out of any coach on the show, guiding eight of the past 21 Voice champions to victory.

His champions included Cassadee Pope, Danielle Bradbery, Craig Wayne Boyd, Sundance Head, Todd Tilghman, Jermaine Paul, Cam Anthony and Chloe Kohanski.
