Shaboozey is singing Jelly Roll’s praises, and not just for his musical talent. In a heartfelt message posted to X (formerly Twitter), the hit-making country act opens up about the deep impact Jelly Roll has had on his life, both personally and professionally.
He began by expressing deep gratitude to his friend and past tourmate for the kindness and support he’s shown as they’ve grown in their careers together.
“Thank you for being the best human one could possibly be, for your guidance, your prayers, your leadership, your humility, and your big mf heart,” Shaboozey wrote.
Shaboozey didn’t just acknowledge Jelly Roll’s impact on him personally, he also recognized the influence the Tennessee native has had on everyone around him.
“You’ve changed so many people’s lives with your story and music. You inspire countless of artist to use their talents to uplift people and the communities around them. You actually are the best. Miss those tour days, love you brother,” he said.

The pair of artists previously hit the road together in 2024 when Shaboozey served as an opening act on Jelly Roll’s Beautifully Broken Tour. More recently, the “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” singer made a surprise appearance during Jelly Roll’s Stagecoach set to perform their just-released collaboration, “Amen.”
The new single appears on the deluxe version of Shaboozey’s RIAA Platinum-certified breakthrough album, Where I’ve Been Isn’t Where I’m Going, which arrived April 25. As they intertwine their signature vocals, listeners are faced with a raw, gut-punch of a tune that depicts a late-night plea for mercy from someone who’s hit their breaking point. They speak of sleepless nights, drinking until “I can’t see straight” and a desperate search for hope.
“Amen” marks one of six collaborations on the entire 18 track-collection, the other new additions being Myles Smith and Sierra Ferrell. Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going: The Complete Edition features a total of six brand-new songs by the multi-Platinum recording artist.
“Putting out the completed version of ‘Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going’ meant a lot to me—it felt like finishing a conversation I wasn’t quite done having,” says Shaboozey. “These songs gave me the space to reflect, to heal, and to dream bigger than before. I poured every part of my journey into this record, and I’m really proud of how far it’s come. Now that it’s complete, I’m excited for the world to sit with it, feel it, and maybe see a little bit of themselves in it too.”
