Luke Bryan brilliantly captures the magic and nostalgia of a true country song in the new music video for his twangy tune, “Country Song Came On.”

Filmed in the setting of a rustic barn in Nashville, Tennessee and directed by Kate Rentz, the video finds Bryan in his element – commanding the stage with his Georgia-bred vocals. As the song unfolds, the focus expands from just Bryan in the center of the spotlight to reveal a room full of couples swaying along to the tender track.

The district sounds of a steel guitar and acoustic strings radiate throughout the barn while Bryan illustrates the irresistible nature of a country song and the fun, impromptu nights that can come as a result.

The visual perfectly complements Luke Bryan’s stripped-back storytelling approach to the track. Both the song and the video hone in on the magnetic pull of country music and its ability to bring people together.

“I was gonna drive by/ Wasn’t gonna stop/ Then my old truck found a front row spot/ Gonna drop in, but I wasn’t gonna stay/ Then I heard a barstool calling my name/ Wasn’t gonna let the bar twist my arm/ But I’m helpless in a honky tonk/ Said I wasn’t gonna drink/ And then a country song came on,” he sings on the chorus. 

The Five-time Entertainer of the Year’s video made its premiere on CMT, CMT MUSIC and CMT Equal Play and debuted on the Paramount Times Square Billboard. Director Kate Rentz shot the video in Nashville, Tennessee.

“Country Song Came On” was written by Ryan Beaver, Dan Alley and Neil Medley and appears on his Mind Of A Country Boy album. 

Named after the song, Bryan’s 2025 headlining tour will launch May 29 and take place in between two runs of Farm Tour dates. will be bookended this spring with Farm Tour dates in California and the newly announced Farm Tour fall dates happening in September.

Plus, fans can also catch Luke Bryan serving as a judge alongside Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood on ABC’s American Idol, airing every Sunday and Monday night through the end of the season.
