A man went more than the extra mile to return a dog back to its owner.

Animal Control in Maryland found and 8-year-old pitbull mix named Zimba and tracked him back to his owner in Kansas thanks to a microchip but when when airlines said they wouldn’t take Simba home the only option left was…make the the long drive from Ridgley, MD to Wichita, KS…1,300 miles away

One man volunteered, Zack Holt and he and Zimba chronicled their journey

When  Zach and Zimba’s Amazing Adventure was posted on the Humane Society’s Facebook page, hundreds of people decided to help out by offering food, gas and prayers.

Zimba and his owner were eventually reunited.
