One last job. It’s a theme that’s powered many Hollywood crime stories. For Robert Redford, “one last job” isn’t just one of the loose themes in his forthcoming movie The Old Man & The Gun: The film is quite literally his final acting gig. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 81-year-old actor confirmed he was making good on his 2016 claim that he was retiring from acting. The Old Man & The Gun is the last film in which he’ll act. “Never say never, but I pretty well concluded that this would be it for me in terms of acting, and [I’ll] move towards retirement after this ’cause I’ve been doing it since I was 21.” Redford said.
Tyler Farr …best known for “A Guy Walks into a Bar” and “Redneck Crazy” was in Duluth, Minnesota, performing his show as usual – but then things went sideways. The singer was returning to the stage after jumping into the crowd when a security guard didn’t recognize him and proceeded to jump him, thinking he was an unruly fan trying to get onstage. “I have no clue what happened. Took me down,” the singer shares. “He was about 6′ 5″, and about 350 lbs., I think…yeah, he took me out. A sprained ankle and a big thump on the head later, and a little visit to the ER, and we’re good to go,” Farr says.
Angelina Jolie‘s divorce from Brad Pitt has gotten so nasty that her lawyer is calling it quits. Sources tell TMZ that Angie is “out for blood” and wants to “kill” any relationship Brad has with his children. An insider says the actress is “fueled with anger and has gotten ridiculously unreasonable.” TMZ says celeb divorce lawyer Laura Wasser has already let Angie know that she’s leaving because thing’s have “gotten too venomous.” Angelina has reportedly hired another law firm, but “for now the divorce is nowhere near settling … it’s more like all-out war.”
HAYDEN PANETTIERE AND WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO ARE DONE: Hayden Panettiere and Wladimir Klitschko have ended their engagement. “Hayden and Wladimir are on great terms and friendly. They are a big part of each other’s lives and will continue to be. Hayden is back in Los Angeles and figuring out what’s next.” The pair were spotted together last month in Greece on a family vacation with their daughter.
Patrick Stewart Returning as Jean-Luc Picard in New ‘Star Trek’ Series: “Star Trek” fans will be thrilled to learn that the franchise’s captain, Jean-Luc Picard, is coming back to TV. And he’ll be played again by British actor Patrick Stewart. Stewart announced Saturday – at a Star Trek convention in Las Vegas – that he will headline the new series, slated to air on CBS All Access. The project is an exploration of the “the next chapter” in Picard’s life, according to an official Star Trek Twitter account.
LEONARDO DICAPRIO AND JESSICA BIEL PREP FACTS OF LIFE REBOOT: Huh. 200 episodes + simply wasn’t enough for The Facts of Life. Leonardo DiCaprio and Jessica Biel are reportedly exec producing a reboot of the 1980s classic. It’s in the very early stages so stay tuned.
Charlotte Rae – the lovable Mrs. Garrett from iconic sitcoms The Facts of Life and Diff’rent Strokes – has passed away at 92-years-old. She died on Sunday after being diagnosed with bone cancer in 2017, her reps said. Rae is best known for her role as housekeeper Edna Garrett, first on the sitcom Diff’rent Strokes and then the spinoff The Facts of Life, with both shows launching in the 1970s and running several years into the ’80s. Several of her co-stars and fans mourned her loss on Twitter……
