I don’t know about you, but I like to keep my thermostat cooler at night. I like to snooze all curled up in my favorite blanket. The LAST thing I want to do is sweat while sleeping…because, face it, I don’t know anybody who CAN sleep that way! So when this post hit Twitter yesterday, people lost it. And I totally get it.
How cool do you keep your house?
New report our shows these as the recommended temps for energy efficiency:
• 78° F when you’re home
• 85° F when you’re at work or away
• 82° F when you’re sleeping pic.twitter.com/iNOSaqX35c— Jennifer Titus (@jenntitus10) August 19, 2019
You’re supposed to keepthe temp at 68-72 for a sleeping baby. Is this report trying to kill babies or something? Jeesh, Jennifer

I'd be crying like a baby if I had to sleep in 82° temps 😅

And those were just a couple of the NICER things that Twitter said about it. But most importantly, where was this report?

Ah, there it is. But still a resounding NO from the Twitterverse.
So that conversation was fun. Let’s have another one tomorrow. Quite frankly, not sure what all the fuss is about. pic.twitter.com/1g8PkzC6kO

Now, I know it’s important for us to conserve energy…and I want to do my part. But really, do you think 82 degrees is good for your slumbering experience? In summer?
Uh-uh. Nope. Nobody would like me…ever. I’d be a grouch every single day of my sleepless life.
Okay, off my soapbox now. I hope that my next post will be that this report had some TYPOS…in our favor. – KW
