BREAKING: The ACM Awards Are Being Postponed in Light of the Coronavirus Pandemic – Big Red

The 55th Academy of Country Music Awards show has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Awards show was scheduled to air from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on CBS, April 5th has been postponed until September. Those who have purchased tickets to the show as well as the April 4th ACM Lifting Lives Topgolf Tee-Off and the ACM Beach Bash will be refunded without issue.

Date and venue for the rescheduled 55th ACM Awards telecast are to be determined.

“The ACM is a tentpole event for our country music industry, and the Academy of Country Music and Dick Clark Productions went to great lengths to find a safe solution for the show to go on so that we can honor out artist community,” the ACM CEO Damon Whiteside says, “The decision involved many partners, stakeholders and the industry who we have been in constant conversations with over the past several days as the situation has developed. We look forward to identifying a future date that we can celebrate with our country community safely.”
