Blake Shelton sang for a nursing assistant and her daughter, who’s a nurse at the same hospital where her mom spent weeks on a ventilator with COVID-19.

Appearing on the Today Show, New Orleans nursing assistant Bridgette Robinson and her daughter told their story of how Bridgette spent weeks on a ventilator fighting for her life against the coronavirus last month.  Her daughter, Sylvia, continued to bravely do her job caring for other COVID-19 patients at the same hospital.

Hoda Kotb surprised the mom and daughter with a performance of “God Gave Me You” by Blake Shelton.
