Jeremy Higgins, a Virginia Beach resident, is one of 42 contestants set to appear in season 16 of “The Bachelorette” on ABC.

The show posted photos of all 42 contestants–including Jeremy–on its Facebook page.

Under Jeremy’s photo, a Facebook user wrote:

Jeremy is a friend of mine. He is such a catch!! He’s funny, charming and doesn’t take himself too seriously. He does karaoke and stand up…just for laughs! He will make every date fun! Guys love him and girls want to date him. He is the perfect pick for this show!! Really he should be the Bachelor (he needs to find love!!!!)

Jeremy will compete against 41 other men, including country singer Granger Smith’s brother.
