Luke Combs Says He Learned To Sing By Listening to The Backstreet Boys, ‘N Sync, and John Legend

In an interview with Grammy Museum’s “Behind the Songs,” Luke Combs said he learned to sing from ’90s bands like The Backstreet Boys.

He said, quote, “I learned to sing from The Backstreet Boys. [There’s] no kid that’s my age that wasn’t listening to The Backstreet Boys or ‘N Sync. I [also] listened to a lot of John Legend around high school time.

“Learning to sing that stuff really honed-in my melody abilities. Those were the kind of folks I was listening to and singing . . . as far as singing stuff goes, that was who I was listening to.”

This isn’t the first time Luke revealed he’s a fan of the 90s boybands.

Back in 2018, he was on the Today show when they asked him what other artists he sings around the house and he said he used to sing Backstreet Boys and N’Sync around the house before belting out a line from “God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You”
