Lion’s warning roar is enough to send anyone running for their life. {Watch}

Back when I was growing up, we had the Alameda Park Zoo. I want to think it’s one of the oldest, if not the oldest zoo in all of the southwest. Nowadays, there isn’t much to look at. I did see over the weekend that they have a new Barbary sheep called, Vincent Van Goat. That’s some name.

When I was a kid, there was a Lion at the zoo named, “Hercules.” Now that I’m older I think, poor Lion, he must have been miserable in southern New Mexico. But when I was a kid, it was pretty sweet. I can remember as a kid, sitting in my grandparents backyard in the evening and you could hear “Hercules” roar across town when they were feeding him. It was pretty wild. The lion passed and they buried him at the zoo. He’s a local legend. Kind of like this guy. Better not get too close.
