Chris Stapleton had to postpone two upcoming shows per doctor’s orders. The singer is recovery from laryngitis and recently postponed a show in South Dakota. He hoped to recover in time for his next but, unfortunately, that was not the case.
He shared in a note on social media, “I am sorry that so many of you have been inconvenienced and I’m truly thankful for your patience and understanding.”
“Nothing is more personal to me than the experience of music,” Chris continued.. “I’m eternally grateful for the privilege of sharing in that journey with all of you night after night.”
“On doctor’s orders, I will need to continue my vocal rest through the weekend in order to fully heal.”

Stapleton’s next planned concert is Oct. 28 in Lubbock, Texas.
