Trisha Yearwood Raised ‘Over $24K in 15 Minutes’ for Her Animal Charity as Part of Betty White Challenge

Fans of Betty White honored the late comedian on what would have been her 100th birthday Monday, January 17th by donating to animal shelters in her name.

The beloved star of “Golden Girls” was known for her charitable work over the years on behalf of animals in need.

Country singer Trisha Yearwood joined the #BettyWhiteChallenge encouraging fans to donate to Dottie’s Yard Fund, a charity started by Yearwood in honor of her and Garth Brooks’ late dog, Dottie.

On Monday, Trisha took to Instagram to thank fans for the support.  “Seriously, thank you for being a friend and doing the #BettyWhiteChallenge with me!” she tweeted. “We raised over $24k in 15 minutes and the donations are still coming in!”
