Luke Combs’ Has Hilarious Response to Fan’s Question About “When It Rains it Pours”

Luke Combs’ ‘When It Rains It Pours’ was released in June 2017 as the second single from his debut album This One’s for You (2017).

The song reached number one on both the Billboard Country Airplay and the Hot Country Songs charts (November 25, 2017), making it Luke’s second number-one hit.

Written by Combs, Ray Fulcher, and Jordan Walker, the song features the lyrics, ” I won a hundred bucks on a scratch-off ticket. I bought two 12-packs and a tank of gas with it.”

A fan took to Twitter to ask a very important question about the origins of that line.

Twitter user Kolby Moore asked, “In the song “when it rains it pours” why didn’t @lukecombs just buy a 24-pack instead of two 12 packs? Just curious” to which Luke cheekily responded, “Two different kinds or (sic) beer? It was on sale? You’ll never know.”

So there you go, Luke isn’t revealing why he bought two 12 packs of beer so we’ll just have to use our imaginations.
