A jury reached a decision in the Johnny Depp-Amber Heard defamation trial on Wednesday (June 1st).
The jurors ruled unanimously in favor of Johnny Depp in his libel lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard.
Depp, who was not present at the hearing “due to previously scheduled work commitments made before the trial,” was awarded $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.
The jury also reached a verdict regarding a $100 million counterclaim Heard filed against Depp. Heard was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages and no punitive damages.
The trial captivated the public and even country music stars weighed in with Brooks and Dunn sharing a picture of Ronnie Dunn meeting Depp captioning it, ““It was my pick finger RD !!!!”
