Rascal Flatts’ Joe Don Rooney plead guilty following his arrest last year for a DUI after he crashed into a line of trees in Williamson County, Tennessee.
According to a police affidavit obtained by TMZ, Rooney told cops at the time that a deer ran out in front of him, which caused him to swerve into the trees.
He was sentenced to two days in jail, and his remaining sentence of 11 months and 27 days was suspended, The Tennessean reports.
It was a first-time DUI plea, which is a misdemeanor. That comes with up to 11 months and 29 days of jail, but the judge suspended all but two of the days.
As part of the deal, he’s also required to complete DUI training and will lose his driver’s license. He can, however, apply for a special restricted license if he installs a breathalyzer in his car.
