Uvalde Survivor Gets Surprise Visit from Favorite Country Singer {PICS}

A young survivor from the tragic shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas, got a surprise visit in the hospital from her favorite country singer, Texas native Kevin Fowler.

Mayah Zamora was seriously injured in the Uvalde school shooting in May. She is currently at University Children’s Hospital in San Antonio recovering from multiple bullet wounds.

According to a Facebook post, the staff got word to Fowler that she and her family had tickets to his upcoming show and asked if there was any way we could come by and surprise her since she couldn’t attend.

He jumped at the chance to meet her and shared the touching photos on social media saying, “What an amazing experience it was meeting this sweet little girl! She’s way braver than I could ever be. This whole experience really hit home with me. I have three daughters and I can’t imagine one of my babies going through this. Her parents, Christina and Ruben Zamora are absolute angels and by her side nonstop.”

While visiting Mayah, Kevin sang a few lyrics to one of her favorite songs.

The country singer also shared a GoFundMe page where people can donate money toward Zamora’s recovery. The account has more than reached its $100,000 goal.
