Jimmy Ray and I are back in Virginia after a wonderful trip to Memphis, TN to attend the 2022 St. Jude Country Cares Radio Seminar. 97.3 The Eagle has been a proud supporter of St. Jude since 1992 – that’s 30 years this year! Getting to visit the hospital grounds in-person and hear from so many former and current patients and their families about the great work of St. Jude was truly inspiring.

Jimmy Ray had visited St. Jude in years prior, but this was my first time! There were 300+ radio people in attendance from all over the US, and a good mix of those who had visited before, and other first timers like me. Not to be biased- but I think Virginia had the best group of radio folks there! We really enjoyed getting to know our industry colleagues from other cities all over the state, and our great Virginia St. Jude rep Mercedes. It’s so encouraging to know that country radio stations all over the Commonwealth are doing good for St. Jude!

Here are a few more photos from our trip! While we weren’t able to visit inside of the main hospital building due to Covid protocol, we did get to tour some other buildings on the St. Jude campus. Our other seminar events were held at the historic Peabody Hotel, right downtown!
