The 56th Annual CMA awards took place Wednesday, November 9th with Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning as co-hosts.
There were plenty of standout performances. Cody Johnson got a well-deserved standing ovation after singing “‘Til You Can’t”. And how good was it to see the return of Jo Dee Messina, who joined Cole Swindell for a surprise duet of “She Had Me At Heads Carolina.”
Miranda Lambert never fails. Her bluesy performance of “Geraldine” was solid as a rock . . . and Carrie Underwood turned it up to 11 for “Hate My Heart“.
Luke Combs proved why he’s Entertainer of the Year with his latest hit, “The Kind of Love We Make.”
We were looking at country when Carly Pearce teamed with bluegrass greats Ricky Skaggs and Sonya Isaacs, for Carly’s song “Dear Miss Loretta“.
Morgan Wallen sang “You Proof” while Chris Stapleton and Patty Loveless teamed up on “You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive.” Full performances are available on HULU.
